Atsumi

Atsumi is an extruded element that expresses the natural character of the material. Small imperfections and dimensional variations reveal its handcrafted quality. The 33 × 276 × 18 mm module has an irregular surface with subtle discontinuities, making each piece unique. The rich glaze is applied unevenly. This creates tonal shifts and areas of concentrated colour that enhance the material depth. The palette includes intense, dense colours, with each element forming a coherent variation within the range. The 18 mm thickness creates a three-dimensional effect. A slightly recessed grout joint emphasises the relief and gives the surface a sculptural, dynamic appearance. A grout joint of at least 5 mm is recommended.
